The brain has the amazing ability to continually learn, reorganize, and adjust to new situations through neuroplasticity. After determining dysfunction in the nervous system, neuroplasticity is what allows us to retrain the brain through chiropractic neurology techniques without the use of surgery or medication.

Overview of the nervous system
The brain is the master control of every function that occurs in the body including breathing, movement, learning, digestion, relaxation, and verbal expression to name a few. The brains role is to perceive the internal and external environment, process the incoming information, and formulate the correct response. Symptoms occur when there is error during any of the three steps. A frequent question is, what happened to change how my brain is functioning? Improper function of the nervous system may have been present during development, due to an injury such as a concussion or whiplash from a car accident or fall, from chemical imbalance, and/or nutritional deficits. The assessment we perform is to determine which areas of the nervous system are not functioning optimally and how nutrition may be involved.
Phone Consultation
PRIOR TO THE CONSULTATION
we will have you briefly outline your
symptoms, therapies you have received, and testing performed.
DURING THE 20 MINUTE
consultation, a team member will
1. Review your symptoms and history
2. Discuss functional neurology in more depth
3. Answer questions
4. When necessary, schedule a 15 minute consultation with Dr. Dayna.
Assessment
DAY OF DISCOVERY
This visit typically lasts 2 hours and consists of 4 steps.
1. Thorough history of symptoms 2. Functional neurologic examination
3. Biofeedback assessment
4. QEEG 5. Eye movement assessment
DAY OF UNDERSTANDING
This visit is 1 hour. Once the assessment is complete, the day of understanding will be scheduled the following week to go over which areas of the nervous system are involved with symptoms as well as the recommended plan of care and financial obligated associated with the care plan.
Therapy Days
Therapy will consist of either movement based exercises, neurofeedback, or a combination of the two.

MOVEMENT BASED EXERCISES
may include eye movements, balance and coordination, biofeedback, vestibular training, sensory stimuli, and/or cognitive exercises designed to retrain the area/s of nervous system dysfunction.
NEUROFEEDBACK
is a computer based training program designed to coach brainwaves into more efficient patterns.
Assessment of the New Baseline
A RE-EXAM
will be completed at the end of therapy to assess changes and to determine the new baseline. The same four steps as the initial assessment will be performed.
DAVY OF UNDERSTANDING
Much like the first day of understanding, the second will review changes in the nervous system from the initial assessment. When necessary additional recommendations with financials will be given.
